Got back from shopping and chuffed to find my find my first ever egg.

It's not big at just 28 grams, but it's a beautiful bluey green colour from one of my Silverudd’s (Blue Isbar).

Just hoping they get bigger.

I've included a photo of the proud parents 😂

Even after years of having chickens, it is always a good day when a pullet starts, and yes they will get much bigger. These are pullet eggs, and once in early 70's, they tried selling them for MORE money as they were called "diet eggs"!

My grandmother, who spent years collecting the egg money and who had always been severely discounted for pullet eggs, nearly had a fit in the store! haha

It is all in how you tell the story, but even though little, they are the very best eggs!
