First egg!

I am fairly certain it is from my Austrolorpe. Week 22. She is the only one laying so far. It was laid in the next box right next to the golf ball. Good chicken!

It was about 3/4 the size of a regular store bought Large egg and the shell was much harder than any store bought egg I have ever had.....

Isnt it nice having chickens that know right where to lay?! Lol mine had even moved the golf ball over to where she laid the egg this morning!
I was thinking the same thing about the shell. Now mine get yogurt a cpl days a week but other than that it's just starter/grower (until it's gone this week) and free choice oyster shell. I'm hoping that once I switch them over to layer it's not too much calcium. I havent tried to crack mine yet, but I almost think it will be difficult!
