Hey I just got my first egg from my silkies. She laid it right in the middle of the floor so I put it in the nesting box and grabbed the first hen that i could get my hands on and put her in the box with the egg. This was yesterday and still today she has not left the egg she is till sitting on it. Should I put a small bowl of water and food in the nesting box (AKA MILK Crate)? Thanks for the feed back.
