So I have 2 Cuckoo Marans that are almost 5 months. I also have a silkie that is over a year and laying and a dutch bantam that was laying but hasn't in quite a while now. Anywho, I think one of the Marans may have laid today. I found a lopsided egg in the run. The silkie and dutch have always laid in the nest boxes in the same spot. This egg isn't dark though. But I compared the egg to the others I had from the silkie and its definately bigger. But it is really light, almost white/tan. Would a first egg from a Maran be that light?
