well today my daughter comes running in the house an says dad i got my first turkey egg.she was so excited she loves her turkeys lets hope it's fertile.we have 4 hens so lets hope we start to get a few a day.we live in ct

The first few eggs won't be the actual size of a turkey egg. The only thing that they are good for is eating. I would give it about a week before they are up to size especially if you're going to incubate them. This was my experience anyway.

that is what suprised me it was the same size as the turkey hatching eggs we bought last year i was expecting something much smaller to start off.we do have one hen that is older then the others like 2 or 3 maybe it was hers.thanks for the heads up on incubating them
