So, yesterday as I was putting my flock in for the night I noticed a little green egg on the floor. I have 2 EEs, and know its from one of them just not sure which one yet. It is crazy how tiny that egg is in comparison to the store bought eggs. My girls were hatched on March 3, so I know it is a little early for the other two hens to follow suit. I am pretty excited and happy to know that my chickens are getting the right amount of vitamins and calcium that they need. The shell of that first egg is very nice and hard. I'm sure the question has been beat to death on here, but is that first egg edible? I have it in the fridge staying cold but haven't cracked it open to eat it yet being I am unsure if I even can eat it. Just thought I'd share this special occasion with y'all. So excited to see what today brings us.
