First egg!!

I found my very first guinea egg today!


A while ago I'd made a little protected spot in the barn, in hopes that they'd use it when they reached laying age. My chickens used it regularly (bad girls), and I had given up hope of getting any eggs this season, since it's so late. But when I went out tonight to close up and checked the spot, I found this little beauty!

I am super happy.

They are going to be 5 months on September 1.
