First egg!

Buttercup laid her first egg. We were so happy. We used a ceramic egg to motivate our girls. Now that we got one I have to questions. Should I still use the ceramic egg or is the laying good to go? How do store the egg? ( warm or cold)

It won't hurt to leave the ceramic egg a little longer - particularly if there are other chickens yet to lay. I store my eggs in the fridge - but not everyone does. I know they are good to go for several days without it - I just prefer to keep them cool.
