Please share where you found your first egg. We are expecting our first any day and because our ducks have free range of our back yard, I'm afraid I might not find it. I do have two nest boxes out but I'm wondering if anyone's duck used a box with their first egg. Thank you.

Found first one near my deck 2nd one near the fence that seperates the ducks pens found 3rd under rabbit pen!! But now she's pretty good about laying next to the gate that seperates the duck pens I only have one welsh Harlequin laying right now and waiting on my Muscovy to start laying she's been laying for 2 weeks now and at first was a hunt every day but now its like clock work 830am every morning same place

Well my muscovies made their own nest where the wanted to. When I had my pekins and mallards they laid on the edge of the pond. Sometimes too close and they would roll into the water.

Wow, how fun those hunts must have been! That's great to hear she settled on one place. I'm hunting every day and can't wait for my first find

OMG, that's too funny. Did the eggs float? I can't get our ducks to stay at our pond so I am sure they will lay in the back yard somewhere. What did your ducks make their nest out of? Thank you for your reply

I'm going to try this. Thanks

On some old tarp next to my steps. We cleaned the patio and now she lays on an old tarp in our shed. We have a nest box with hay she ignores

Is that her in your Avatar? That sure is a pretty duck. I was just out putting different kind of boxes here and there. My ducks are probably laughing at me and saying, 'we're gonna lay wherever we want momma.' LOL

O how funny. He's soooo pretty! All of my ducks are skittish:( I have some baby KC's in a brooder that I'm making sure they love me before they get too old
