I'm not sure. I think the first 48ish hours. Maybe the first week. My ducks are only 6 months old so that's the extent of my knowledge lol. Here is my female. I have no clue what breed my ducks are but I love them.

Found our first egg today. Not sure who laid it but I'm THRILLED. They are 19 weeks old. Found it in the entrance to their night pen.
 
Woohoo! So exciting. :) My ducks are only a couple of weeks old right now, but we also look forward to eggs... In the fall.

Thank you:) I was just telling them (before I found the egg) "somebody had better lay me an egg", lol. Found another one this morning in the night pen. Tonight I will tell them, "somebody better lay me an egg in the nest box."

We have a terrible ratio... 6 girls, 5 boys. I'm trying to rehome 2 Pekin drakes.
