We got our first egg yesterday morning from one of our white leghorn:) We are so excited to get an egg. Being this is all new to us :D It was small (I will post a picture) I couldn't wait to see another egg today but nothing:/ no egg. She is young so could it be a while before she starts to lay regularly? I knew she was going to give us the first egg. The evening before she was very noisy unlike her and nothing I have ever heard. She was all over the run hitting the sides like she was mad. I knew what she was doing;)Can't wait to get more eggs. Wanted to add she is only 16 weeks.

Yes - it can take a bit for them to get the hang of things and get the production line running just right. It is frustrating, though, to wait and wait, finally get an egg and think "this is it" and then get nothing the next day.
In the last five days we have had two start to lay. One of the BO laid for two days, took a day off and has laid for the last two days. A SLW decided to give it a whirl, laid one egg the second day the BO laid, took two days off and laid her second egg today.
