First Egg!

I haven't been on here in awhile, but I had to come on and tell everybody - I'M SO EXCITED! Rosie laid her first egg today. It's beautiful and big and the most lovely shade of brown! Also in the middle of the run because the coop isn't entirely finished but will be this weekend - but oh my goodness, I am so excited and proud of my girl.

It's always fun when that first egg is laid. How old is she and what breed? I have some young serama pullets that I'm looking forward to those first eggs, I have a long wait, but time does fly. Enjoy!

Yes!! I'm still so excited. She is around four months old, and a RSL.

Thank you! It was so exciting! She's making us wait for more though, LOL - and the Jersey Giant is maturing slower, of course. But she's starting to get a little bit of red in her face and the teensiest wattles.
