First Egggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm SO Excited! I was questioning the sex's of my geese about a month ago, but it has been confirmed!! I have a boy and a girl...and the awesome thing is, I named them right! I named them Duckie and Darcy when they first came out of the egg, and they lived up to them!

Found my first egg in the coop this morning, and I have seen a good bit of mating going on, in fact every time I give them fresh water.

How many eggs should I wait before collecting for incubating?

LOL I know, an egg is an egg, but I'm proud of my little girl...so here is her First Egg! (and that is my rebel dog in the background, wanted to see what mommy was so giddy about!)

Oh, the first egg is so exciting! I'm a pretty calm person, but when I discovered Wheezie was laying, I ran screaming into the house.

My family almost fell over from shock.

It is very exciting to get that first egg. I am up to 38 eggs, got 2 this afternoon and noticed 2 sebbies on the nest before dark so I am sure they will lay tonight/early morning. I have been holding mine for 5 days before putting them in the incubator..but I think in a cool dark place saving up to 7 days is ok.
