We were't planning on hatching any eggs from our new Flock of Kentucky Specks until next spring but the roo got sick and had to be euthanized. As soon as he got sick were started saving eggs from the hens in hopes he was doing his duty up unitl he got ill. A weeks worth gave us 10 eggs. I put 10 eggs from my Japanese in too, just to be double sure something would hatch.

Fingers crossed, not sure about his fertility, really old incubator we haven't used before and bad time of year to be raising chicks.

I just hatched 11 eggs from my Australops that I collected after I got rid of my roo. 100% Hatch. So it's possible. Good luck!
