I just found my first 2 eggs from my peafowl. I am wanting to put the eggs in my incubator to keep them laying. Do I treat them just like chicken eggs. Get them now and turn them twice a day for 2 weeks until I put them in?

Congrats on the new eggs. I wouls collect them but not sure if 2 weeks is too long. Others will chime in with the answer.

I have read on this forum that the fertility level in peafowl eggs decreases after 7 days . It is therefore advisable to start incubating them at weekly intervals. An adult peahen takes about 20 days + to finish laying her entire clutch ( 8-12 eggs) and then begin incubating her clutch of eggs.Unfortunately, the earlier laid eggs do not hatch for the loss of fertility level. congratulations any way, that your peas have started laying. We here, in Newyork area have to wait for another 4-5 weeks. to see any eggs from our hens. Some people who have light in their sheds are currently getting eggs from their peas.
