First eggs of the year in the UK?

Looks as though we've jumped the gun. Only one is laying. We must have missed the first egg and only noticed when the second had been laid.
I thought it was a bit of a coincidence they started laying on the same day.

The question is now, how big a gap can there be in same age ducklings starting to lay?

The question is now, how big a gap can there be in same age ducklings starting to lay?
They mature at different ages so it's hard to say, but if they are both the same age usually when one starts to lay the other isn't far behind. Most start between 5-8 months. depending on breed.
 
Another update.....Both Ducks now laying. Second one started yesterday, 18th March.
