Has anyone tried those fake eggs to help encourage laying?

Fake eggs don't encourage pullets when to lay, just where to lay.

Pullets will lay when their bodies are sexually mature and ready,
usually between 18-26 weeks of age for most breeds,
provided they are on a good diet and have healthy housing.

Yay!!

My pullets are just a bit younger than yours (hatched September 26th). I've started noticing a lot of rapid comb growth and reddening, a couple are squatting, and at least one has been investigating the nest boxes, which I opened this past Saturday. I hope that means that I will also be seeing my first eggs soon!
