First Eggs

OK I am new and I have searched all over for the answer to this questions and come up empty. I know that it probable sounds silly but here it is.. When the ladies decide to start laying can we eat the first eggs or do we need to wait any length of time for them to work out the kinks?

I ate my first eggs and I'm still around to talk about it

They were DELICIOUS!

I don't give my hens medications or antibiotics though - there's something about if you medicate them to wait.

I'm new here too and also have two eggs, our first from a bantam cochin. I hate to break them; they're so perfect and beautiful. But I'm sure if we do, there will be a perfect little yolk in each one.

But I also wonder: Do we eat the first ones?

Yup - they're delicious! Nothing different from the first ones to the next ones you get.
