First eggs

I allowed my son to purchase some chicks in April. Thursday night he texted the first egg pictures, his 5 hens have layed 14 since then. Sunday morning was our family's first homegrown egg breakfast and I must say their is a difference in homegrown and store bought eggs.

Yes indeed! The yolks are much darker and tastier. I have read that the more bugs and especially greens that the chickens get, the lower the cholesterol of the eggs. My girls especially love kale.
