This will be my first time hatching. Today I got my eggs put in the incubator!! I am excited but worried.
I have a still air LG. I have kept the temps at 101. I am following the dry incubation cheat sheet so humidity isn't a factor right now though mine says 24 percent.
I know after putting eggs in that the temps will fluctuate but what perplexes me is that I have three thermometers. I have one that stays on the inside and two that have probes so the actual display stays on the outside of the bator. All of these have read right at the same this whole time. Now, the one on the inside is reading 99 and the two on the outside read 101. Why is there a difference between the two locations when there wasn't before.
I am trying to keep my hands off and let it do its thing and see where it goes from here. Turning knobs and such will just get me in trouble, I know. I just need a little reassurance, I gues. Thanks.

I had an o k hatch with a beat up LG still that a friend gave me and a disaster 2/30.
I agree not to touch the dial unless as a last resort.
It could be just the location of the probes. You're lucky. I can't get any 3 thermometers to read the same.
If there is some erring on the temp side, I prefer cooler than too hot.
