Ok so I have two older girls who are 11 weeks and a 6 week. I got them when they were 2 and 5 weeks old. I have four little kids and from the get go we're all held them and snuggled them. So tomorrow I have three day old baby chicks being shipped to me and I have some questions:rolleyes:
....should we not handle them very much the first day we have them? I don't want to stress them out:(
.....I want my chicks to be very friendly and for them to not be scarred of me or the kids so how much interaction should we give them the first three weeks?
Thank you anyone who can help me answer my question!:D I'm soooooo excited that I just can't even sleep!!
I'm so worried that when we get them they won't be healthy:( they shipped yesterday and I thought I would get them today.......but no luck so I am praying that they all arrive happy and healthy tomorrow morning!!!!!

So all my chicks arrived bright and early this morning!
they all seem to be doing well!
Does anyone have any feedback on my questions?

I am not an expert yet but I would let them settle in a day or two then introduce the kids. Make sure they are eating and drinking. Maybe start with the kids hand feeding treats. I plan on my kids being hands on when our chicks hatch. I want them to be friendly with the kids as the hens we have run the other direction from them. Just my thoughts on it.
