I live in the northern suburbs of the Twin Cities in MN. I am new to chickens, and not sure how many we are getting... I was gifted 8 layers by my sister in-law for Christmas, they were ordered from Ideal Poultry. All I know is we'll get the 8 pullets and up to 17 (broiler) roosters. I have a large dog crate set up for a brooder, since MN is awfully cold, and the birds are coming next week, we will keep them in our basement workshop. Are their any tips anyone want's to share? Thanks in advance, I feel like I have a good grasp of how to raise these ladies, but advice is always welcomed.

If you join this we'll always be glad but bullying really makes us sad...So before you join make sure it's right and remember to never be too uptight. We love you all, we love you each, and chickens is the things we will most likely teach...
