    Hello-
We just purchased our first six chicks and I'm not too sure how old they are... They are from the feed store and the girl helping us didn't know. Is there any chance someone could guess based on a photo? Also, at the feed store they said we didn't need a heat lamp but all my research contradicts that. Thank you in advance for any and all input!

[IMG] I am going to guess that they are somewhere around 5 days old judging by their wing feathers. YES you are correct in thinking that they still need supplemental heat. Good luck with your new little flock.
