The chicks have officially starting living outside! The coop has been moved out of the garage into the new run.
They had so much fun with all the new freedom and even started putting themselves to bed around 6:30 this evening. Very mature for their 9 weeks of age..... Once they started back into the coop, they ate and drank like they hadn't been fed for a week! (Then one by one they all went to the "big girl" roost for bed.
They are starting to be really fun now and have developed quite individual personalities. Tonight my husband was saying he never expected chickens to have so much personality or to be so friendly! He was digging grubs out of the garden special this afternoon just to feed them to the girls....
