First go at candling!

20 eggs out of 29 viable so not too bad... Amazing seeing that there are real chicks developing inside those eggs! I will try and get some photos of them... Esp excited about my 2 Sebright eggs which are looking amazingly good!!! (better not both be roosters!!!)

Sorry I am just so excited and wanted to share with someone, anyone!!!

Can't wait to be able to do the same with my 59 eggs I set yesterday in the incubator and under a broody!!!

I candled for the first time ever yesterday and I was pretty excited too

Out of the 7 duck eggs I put in - 7 are developing! I also have 10 guinea fowl eggs in that I thought were too old.... I suspect they are all dud (over 14 days old before they were given to me).

I'm just so excited that ANY are working. It's my home made bator and all!
