First hack at incubating & Meyer shipped eggs?!

10%! So I add water and get it up to 50
For a few hours then it drops again
Depending on your ambient humidity it doesn’t need to be 50% necessarily. You may need to put some sponges in there to bring the humidity up and hopefully stabilize it. I dry incubate. This method works well for me because I live in Hawaii and our ambient humidity is fairly high. I do not use any water at all until lockdown. The humidity in my incubator usually runs between 25% and 45% during incubation, but 10% is way too low. Do you have an independently calibrated hygrometer? Often the ones that come with the incubator are not accurate. You need to get a separate one like the ones they use for reptile/amphibian terrariums, these work pretty well. You just have to test it for accuracy with salt which is very easy to do. This is also often true of the thermometer. It’s good to have separate ones to verify its accuracy.

I ordered 2 off Amazon as well 😅 those are what is reading so low. However not sure how much sense it makes cause our room is at 30. What is salt test?
