Had to jump in...set eggs March 8 at 6:30 pm......day 20 hatched 5...today day 21..hatched 1 more and 5 pips...looks like 11 out of 30 so far...I only buy Isa Brown chicks(beautiful, huge, uniform eggs to sell) I keep hens 3 years (1 to grow - lay 2 years - then give away or cull and start over again) just bought 25 chicks from townline, hatchery), prefer to regenerate own flock..have wonderful broodies who do a great job..just love "incubating" also.... wonderful fun and God is so good..am elderly so this is a great hobby and supplies healthy food for our bodies...my chickens even get pro-biotics (I make my own - we milk a cow as well) didn't mean to sabotage thread just hope this gets your mind off h a t c h i n g chicks...Ha. many little blessings are coming.. I see a white Isa, buff orpington, barred rock, and 3 astralorpes so far... The OEG hen hatched 6 - two days ago and am most grateful for a "little" brown OEG chick...they are wonderful broodies and the more the merrier here..3 setting right now....sound like chicken math...ha.

ariel....anything yet..... looks like another black one coming out..the astralorpe rooster has done his job well....must be fair...changed roos around and added buff orpingtons in...have 3 roosters in yard with 48 hens & pullets....

No worries, you did not "sabotage" anything, thank you for chiming in!

Mine are not doing anything yet! What kind of incubator do you have? What was your temp and humidity the first 18 days? What was it at lockdown?

I just noticed your post! I bought the same exact incubator you have and set my shipped eggs in it on 3/7 at about 10pm....a few have pipped since about 3 pm and I'm a nervous wreck....LOL
What temp did you have the incubator set to until lockdown? I put mine at 99.6 with humidity between 41% -43% Then at lockdown I turned temp down 1 degree and humidity to 68%

STILL NOTHING!!!!!!

. My temp runs between 99.8 and 100 and my humidity since lockdown is between 68 and 75%

Did you set it to 99.8? The Brinsea manual recommend temp between 99.3 to 99.6. You set yours to higher temp that mine, but I heard higher temps equal faster hatches BUT could result in more boys, hahaha. No idea if it is true of a fairytale!
