I know this may sound weird, but what is a lockdown?

Lockdown is where you take the incubator off the auto turner (or stop turning them manually) raise the humidity, lower the temp 1 degree if you want and DONT OPEN THE INCUBATOR until they all hatch or the eggs left do not have pips, then you can open to remove the hatched chicks.

Today is day 20 and I don't even hear internal pipping from anyone, I am going nuts!!! I can't WAIT until this first hatch is OVER with, then I will know what to expect for the second time around and the waiting won't be so bad because at least Ill know this egg hatching thing does work! Right now that is the issue I don't know if this will work because I have never seen it with my own eyes!

Common chickeis START pipping internally at least so I can hear you and know you are alive in there! Ahhhhhhhhhh patience is not one of my virtues!

I know exactly how you feel! I've had some batches hatch on day 24, and by that time I thought they were dead! I'm currently hatching eggs and every single one has an air cell that looks exactly like yours! I'm on day 7 and I'm on BYC trying to kill time until their hatch date!! Good luck, and PLEASE keep me updated if they hatch!

I just noticed your post! I bought the same exact incubator you have and set my shipped eggs in it on 3/7 at about 10pm....a few have pipped since about 3 pm and I'm a nervous wreck....LOL

OK you set March 7 fri at 10pm and I set mine March 8 at 1pm so I am about 15 hrs behind you! So that would mean I would get my pips tomorrow? I was really hoping today, oh well! GOOD LUCK< let me know how yours go! What breeds do you have in there?
