Ariel what do you see in the last eggs photo that you know they have quit? I actually kept all in to the end - there are four which were clear on day 14 and I marked those with an x. When I candled at day 7 I wasn't sure what I would get as there was an awful lot of pours looking eggs and I did not see a lot going on. At day 14 most were dark inside so development had taken place. I have one hatched out right now and it is in protest to the rest to get a move on.

HI! I am so happy, 6 of my 8 have hatched so far, they are so darn cute! I am still holding out hope for the other two, today is day 21+ so hoping I still may get these last two. They went into lockdown looking good. I"ll try to post pictures, if i can figure out how.

I have come up with another question, what do you use to disinfect the Brinsea? The paperwork says to use Brinsea Disinfectant...but wondering if a weak clorox solution would do the trick.

Use a mix of 50/50 white vinegar and water. I would never use bleach or clorox even diluted it is too strong for the sensitive eggs.

I forgot why I took that particular egg out but I was convinced I was right at the time, boy I hope I was. That was a day 13 egg. Oh I I took out clears on day 7. I did not want to leave a non fertile or quitter in there because they can seep or explode and kill all the rest of the eggs. I hope I was not too hasty but I did spent hours reading, researching, looking at photos, watching videos of chick embryo development so I felt like I had a really good idea what the eggs should look like at the different stages. I even bought a very high powered candler to see inside really well.

IT WAS LOCKDOWN TODAY!!!!
out of 22 eggs 21 of them look like to be developing! All the Swedish flower hens still have really bad saddle air cells, so we will see! Fingers crossed!!
