First Hatch, Due Febuary 25. Who's with me?

How are everyone's hatchings this morning? I woke up to a mini-chorus of chirps! 4 hatched chicks and 17 more peeps. Heeee! The problem is, the humidity has dropped to 65%. I'm torn - I want to open it to add more water, but I am paranoid about opening the 'bator during lockdown. Though a lot of people seem to go more for 60-70% than the 70-80% that I was aiming for, after having read a little more. I will give them some time.

I've got 3 chicks and at least 4 pips. Today is day 20 so not worried yet about the ones who haven't pipped. This is only my 2nd hatch and I had chicks at day 19 last time too! I'm thinking I need to adjust the settings on my 1588.

28 chickens and 5 eggs just sitting there, no pips, no rocking or anything. Should I pull the plug on the last five?

I had 5 babies hatch altogether, and I'm totally happy with that number-they are so cute! Congratulations everyone on all of your babies!

See what I did there, calling it a she? I'm thinkin' positive!

I call all of mine 'he' because things around here like to prove me wrong!

I have 1 out, 1 zipping and 2 pips. My temps must have been a little low, they taking their sweet time.

Juliecox - what kind of bator are you using? We have a picture window Hovabator. I can fit a large straw in the holes with a little funnel stuck in the end, aim it at the trough and pour in warm water.

We seem to be anywhere from 7 - 15 hours from pip to POP!
