first hatch of Swedish Blues

Well...This is the one that we assisted hatching and whose yolk was unabsorbed and not attached to him anymore. I thought for sure we would lose him...and he looked very weak for the first
hours...but by this afternoon he was up and dried off and seems to be okay for now. I am so grateful to have had this site and your guidance. I will watch him closely and keep him separate from the others for now. We named him "lucky"

Oh I posted to soon... the duckling I mentioned above "lucky" just passed away. The other three still seem to be doing well.

So sorry about Lucky. Those guys rarely make it, but you sure did your best by him!
