The end of my 15th day is at 7pm. Three quail out of 21 hatched already. The first one is drunk and noticibly stumbles all the time and has a very, very hard time getting up. I'm sure he'll figure it out. The second one has messed up feet. Is toes curl in so it looks like he's swimming everywhere. The third is the normal one. Walks around like you would expect, but he's mean! Keeps picking at the other chicks and dragging them around by their feet! I separated them for the time being. Maybe by the time more hatch they'll be better?

15th is early, meaning your bator was too hot. Drop it down to 98.5 to 99. They are quail and are pretty tuff little buggers. you can try to tape the feet flat and that might help some, also quail understand weak siblings and will attack if they sense something is wrong.

Sometimes it can take a couple of days for the toes to straighten out. Spread out crushed game bird crumble on the floor of the brooder which should have paper towels over the shavings. Generally they pick at the toes because they think it's something to eat. Give them something else to pick at (food). Sounds like your incubator was too hot. Hopefully the rest of your hatch comes out fine :)
