First hatch!: wiggling and scratching!!

Woke up and checked on eggs: 4 were wiggling like crazy. One of them being a 'too dark' maybe when I candled Sunday!! Yay, so all the maybes could be live too (including the cracked one!)

Now I'm hearing scratchy noises! I'm so excited i can't leave my spot!!
Wednesday is day 21, hope they are not slow-don't know if I can stand it!

wow good luck sound like you are gonna have a good strong hatch how many eggs in?

I have 18 in, as of Sunday: 2 were definitely early development - so early quitters.
10 were wiggling inside for the candle, the other 6 were dark masses- no movement at time of candling. Potentially 16 chicks!!

I've only recently become a 'candy coffee' drinker, but I think I'll dig out the real coffee maker today!

Here's the same egg making a little progress since this morning. Chick seems active and healthy. Just this evening a second egg [egg #1 ] cracked a piece of shell!

It's gonna be a long night! We don't want to miss a thing!

Why are they in cupcake wrappers? After the turner is removed should they be placed on something other than the screen? I'm a newbie with my first hatch in the bator.
