With that being said I know I can use tweezers. I haven't done it yet. But what happens if I pull on the pus after doing a compress. How much resistance should I expect and how hard is too hard. Will her eyeball pop out?

I told my husband I feel like the best thing to do is compress for a while try to loosen it up and try tweezers and if her eyeball pops out maybe he just has to call her unless I know what to do in that situation. Fun fact I don't know what I would do in that situation.

That looks like it's stuck to her eye pretty well. Do your best to get it off, but I think there is a good chance she is going to lose the or the site in that eye, which is fine if the other eye is okay.

@LizGio hey! How is she? I saw from a couple of other posts that you're tube feeding. Is she getting better?

I just took her to the vet yesterday. I almost cried when they took her back just because I've gotten really attached which is pretty dumb. But holding her, hand feeding her and doing all the stuff with her and watching her make small improvements and then declining again is just so heart-wrenching. After checking her out, they said they will try two antibiotics but can't guarantee that it will work. Which I understand and I was kind of expecting. I feel like the crop feeding isn't getting all the nutrients that she needs in. I can't get the food thick enough and still fit through the syringe or catheter. I picked up a 16 urinary catheter and the formula still gets caught up in it If it's slightly thicker than water. And she can only hold 10 ml in her crop otherwise it comes right back out. I feel like it's just not enough actual calories. So I'm going to try to take the time out and hand feed her the pellets again. It's going to be time-consuming but I feel like that's what I have to do. The vet could not get the pus off the eye. We're hoping that the antibiotics help with that. They don't have any other recommendations for that other than the saline rinse and the terramycin. I really need this girl to make it. We are best friends now. Thank you and everybody else for the support and advice. I don't know if we would have made it this far without you.

That's a good idea on the pellets. They're easier to feed and then you know how much she's getting.

Can you give her 1/4 b complex tablets as well? Also, Wal Mart has Epsom salt gel, where they have the regular bagged Epsom salt. You can rub it into her legs and any exposed skin. This will increase her magnesium levels, without having to bathe her.

Is she of laying age?

She was hatched in July so not quite her sister's not laying her waddle and comb aren't even bright red yet. I've been giving her vitamin B complex pills in addition. I will check out the Epsom salt gel like you suggest.
