The temperature outside, in the shade is at least 100 and there is very little air movement. The 10 week old hens are in a shaded run but they are just laying around in the shade with their beaks open.

I have placed a shallow pan of water in the run and moistened some of the soil in another area.

What more can I do?

Is it possible to provide a fan near the run?

Increased shade?

Lawn sprinkler that shoots into a quarter of the run so the birds can decide whether to use it?

Ice for the water?

Freeze a couple of two liter soda bottles or gallon milk jugs filled with water. Put them in their pen or coop. They'll lay next to them and even dig in the dirt surrounding them to cool off.
