Hello there!

I am a 8 month chicken Mum... and I absolutely LOVE them! Never in my wildest dreams did I think that backyard chickens could bring so much joy! I have 4 - 8 month old ISA Browns and 2-3 month old Cream Crested Legbars. We refer to ISA's as the 'big girls' or ladies and the Legbars as "the chicken babies"
We decided to add chickens to our home after the pandemic hit, and found it to be wonderful new adventure! My oldest daughter and a friend actually built a beautiful fabulously functioning coop for them! We learned so much about building and now want to buy all the big power tools!

I am a professional Jazz and Blues singer, so my life drastically changed in March. I hung up my microphone and put on some boots and started gardening and chicken raising! It's been so life giving to me personally. The Ladies worked in the garden with me all summer long and then happily destroyed it when the growing season was done!

Yes the Pandemic has changed a lot of our lives - hopefully the chicken part for the better. I know I probably would not have most of the chickens I have now if it weren't for everything surrounding this year's events, but I'm counting all my blessings through it all.
