Okay so tomorrow is day 18 and lockdown starts at 9:30 am. I turn my eggs 3 times a day at 7am, 2pm and 8pm. Should I turn them at 7am and not at 9:30 when I up the humidity or should I not turn them at 7am and just wait and turn 1 last time when I add the extra water at 9:30am.

You will be fine if you don't turn them it's only 2 1/2 hours. Are you laying them down or putting them in egg cartons?

I'm just going to leave them on their sides this time, I think

Is there a benefit to putting them in egg cartons?

I like doing that because the one's that hatch don't knock the other eggs around so much.

Okay, so what would I need to do to put them in egg cartons? Do I need to modify the carton? And small end down right?

I cut the bottoms out of each egg hole and trimmed the sides of the cartons down about halfway. The small end down is correct.

I cut the top half off and cut some small holes on the sides of the bottoms for air. You may be able to see some pictures of them if you do a search on hatching eggs in cartons. You will be surprised there is a lot less of a mess to clean up.

Here you go I did a search for you.
