at least you still have the other 2 (hopefully 3). roosters are usually easier to replace than hens-- not that you can replace him, but you know what i mean.

i always try to find the bright side in any dark situation.

My first chicken loss was from my dog (she learned that people don't like that, and didn't do that again). Also just a week or two ago (my 5th chicken loss), my 5 and a half month old rooster got killed by a fox (I assume that my roo was defending his girls in the process, and had defended them a week before from the same predator). So here is someone who understands.

Your very sweet thank you. Gonna wait and see if i find lilly tomorrow, may decide to go to standard size breeds. They might look less edible...prob not much less but ill take anything right now. I hope shes okay, shes my little clown.

its amazing how they become like an extra set of kids to us. you might look into old english game bantams. they are very protective little things.
