First mail order batch

I just got my first mail order batch of ducklings. 4 Cayuga, 4 Buff, and 4 KC. I put them in my new and improved redneck brooder box. (I will post pics of that later).

3 of my 4 Buffs have fuzzy poofs on their heads. I was wondering if they are crested. I didn't order or want crested and wondered if it was common practice for the hatcheries to send crested if not specifically requested. I used Ideal for this order.

Congrats on your new ducklings, as for if the hatcheries send crested if not specifically asked for you'll have to ask them, but sounds like you may have gotten crested. Looking forward to pics!
