First moult pictures

Anyone have pictures of their chickens first moult? If so please post them here. I got some on my actual camera I want to transfer later but here is a couple phone pictures. Also, did your chickens moult before they started laying?

Was you hen missing feathers in that area? I usually see birds grow in lost feathers before they molt. Seems backwards to me, but I see it a lot here.

There's juvenile molts and adult molts. In most cases a female bird will start laying before adult molt takes place.

I was having a hard time finding a good article here about moults. This pullet is only 16 weeks. I noticed a bald spot a few days ago and the feathers grew in very fast. It looks like another one is beginning to moult also.

Looks like she got picked/plucked and is not growing back those feathers.

I thought she may have been mating with my cockerel. But I haven't seen him do that yet. They are besties. I haven't seen any picking. I did find some great articles this morning on moulting and I am fairly certain that's the case.

At 16 weeks she should be getting her adult feathers. The bare spot does look like from mating, and the feathers are growing back in. She is too young to do an adult molt.
