Thnk you all so much for the info. When the pullets are outside they seem to really like the coop and spend much of their time in there. I leave the door open of course, but i might leave it open tonight. Nothing can dig under the fence because the run and coop are on top of a foot high patio with bedding on it. It also has a top that is secured down. For their size they have ample room, but I may have to modify the hen house in the future. Once again, thank you all very much!

agree with Sourland , a window - especially one backed by 1/2" hardware cloth to prevent predators from entering uninvited., when the window is opened.
