First night out

My babies are in their coop tonight! It's they're first night out of the house. I don't think I'm going to sleep much.

I don't, either, every "First night out."

"What was THAT noise?" "Are they sleeping okay?" etc.

What if something gets them and I don't hear a thing?



A baby monitor might help; I have considered that, actually, but not acted upon the impulse.

Oh my goodness!!! Congrats on the "First Night Out"!!!! I am currently awaiting my new chicks to complete the hatching cycle....talk about not getting much sleep! I am so anxious to see them come out of their shells!!! Good luck tonight!!

Thank you for the support! My husband thinks I'm nuts. I think I'm going to have to calm myself by snuggling the bantam chicks. They're still in the front room as they are much younger than my large fowl.

Mine have been out for a few weeks now, but that first night I couldn't stop thinking about them! I must have gone and checked on them atleast 5 times! lol! I'm sure they'll be fine though. Good luck!

Same here, first night out too. My hubby also thinks I'm crazy, but I would just hate for something to happen to them. Get some sleep

they should be fine. Mine are doing well but i did move the pen so that i can see from my bedroom window. LOL!
They are doing fine. they love there heat lamp at night but move freely during the day!
Get some sleep. They should be fine~
