First Olive Egger Egg!

Nope, far left was the first(broken on poop board)then sequentially to the right...except far right one is another bird.

I see now...I thought I remembered reading somewhere that OE eggs can darken/change slightly over time; thanks for the reminder. They're all pretty nonetheless!

Wish CCL eggs were a stronger blue.

Yes, I do too. My CCL eggs, whilst very pretty, are a clear pale blue. Look great against the olive and sagey greens but not particularly strong by themselves. Do they vary greatly within the breed?

Well, they can darken as the bird first starts laying and gets thing tuned up...
....but later in the cycle they can lighten as can brown layers, and the brown coating is what makes blue egg shells green.

So pretty!! I’m still waiting on mine. That’s a pretty good size for a first egg. Little Ruthie expression looks like “yep...did it all by myself” she’s adorable.

Here’s her next three eggs; from left to right laid on 8/16, 8/18, and 8/19. The egg she laid today is considerably more olive-toned.

That's about the color progression Little Sister had for first 3 eggs....now are consistently olive.

Me either, N F C! I had been referring to it as her "egg jet printer".
