Thanks.
One color egg I don't have yet is a dark olive egger.
I actually lost my brightest blue egg layer last month my white sport legbar hen, HeiHei.
Thanks in truth HeiHei was never quite right as a bird. We always thought she was partially blind. She had a little bunny hope gate as well.
I never knew what was exactly wrong with her but I feel it was definitely mental. Still she was as loyal as a puppy and sweet as sugar. She didn't lay well I assume due to whatever wasn't normal with her but her eggs were stunning and I loved every single one. I always wanted to hatch chicks from her to see if her problem was genetic or due to her vaulted skull and late hatch. I was told she was a late hatch and it was iffy when I got her whether she would survive or not. She lived for over 2 years.
I waited for a long time to name her searching for a name that fit. When I realized that just like HeiHei from Moana that also wasn't quite right she had this amazing ability to know and do the right thing too. So I named her HeiHei. About two months before she died(which I am not sure what caused it) HeiHei, who had seen an EE of mine named Pebbles jump onto my held out arm a million times, surprised me and tauht herself to jump onto my held out arm. She didn't always make it so sometimes I had to catch her rather than just holding out my arm. Boy I miss my HeiHei girl. She had so much personality, love, and trust. Any time I was standing still she would stand on my foot.
I have her last dozen eggs that she layed that I blew. I don't have a photo of them right now but I'll post a photo of her first egg. I believe what probably took her life was her unusual laying as it was so very sporadic.

Her egg is of course the blue.

She's molting in the above photo and the wind is ruffling her feathers but I love this photo. She was a hard chicken to photograph because anytime she saw me she ran to me.

Your post brought a tear to my eye! It sounds like she was very special in more ways than one and you gave her the best life possible; thank you for sharing. That blue egg is gorgeous!
