First Peachicks

This is my first year hatching eggs and after some nice results from shipped in Silkie and Showgirl eggs in my Farm Innovators styrofoam incubator; I decided to give peafowl a try. I was able to drive and get 3 peacock eggs out of white breeding and had 2 of the 3 successfully hatch on 6/14/2014. Egg #3 was a late quitter but I am very, very pleased with these results.

Here are photos of the chicks that I took today at 1 day old.



"Alba" (Egg #2, First Born)



"Bianca" (Egg #1, second born). Bianca has some silver chipmunk-like markings on the head and down the back.
