First Peafowl egg of 2009

We got our first India Blue egg yesterday for 2009! Have been hearing the mating call the last week or so, the egg was from our 3 year olds. The trio only layed about 15 eggs last year, this year should be much better. Nothing from the 5 year olds yet.

hey that's great! do you incubate and hatch your own eggs, or do they do it.

We incubate them, we have used cochins to hatch them. They do a pretty good job.
