Cuties! Unfortunately 1 died for an unknown reason so now I only have 2 Argyle and Meridith are still a little bit wet and haven’t really been walking yet but they are soooooo tiny!

I have some quail in the brooder drying, I still have 3 chicken eggs that haven’t hatched, they candled good?
I have 45 quail eggs, but I set some from my new breeder pen, they may not be fertile

After 3ish hours of struggle, Argyle has hatched! I’m naming these 3 after stranger things characters!

I ended up with 34 quail, and 6 out of 6 chickens, my nephew is coming over tonight to get them for his twins.

Awesome! I’m not sure if I’m gonna try again, mainly cuz there’s no way I’m spending $50+ on shipping fees for getting more.

Did you get testing?

It's unusual for Quail to have Marek's.

Also Marek's disease does not usually present symptoms until around week 8+, so just hatched chicks generally do not die due to Marek's disease.
