Get a game rooster. Mine are very effective against Coopers hawks.

we have our orps free ranging an have not had any hawks bother them an we have 2 or 3 chicken hawks living within 200 yards from the coop.our orps have some english bloodlines in them they look like a flock of turkeys out in the field lol.plus having a good size hay field next to the coop there are tons of field mice an rabbits that dont fight back.
