So, I finally decided that cujo was gonna have to go.he was just to aggressive he was beating on his girls and attacking me everytime I went in the coup. So dinner he became.
I found a very good and straight forward video about killing and butchering qauil.
It is a bit gory but it's also very informative and had me cleanly killing and gutting on the first try
I'm kinda shocked at just how easy it was. Although cujo got away from me at first and I had to chase him down the driveway. So I could have done without that.
here he is. All cleaned and skinned. Instead of plucking the guy shows how to completely skin them very easily. It took me less then two minutes from live bird to finish.
Not bad, I wouldnt raise them for meat, rather chewy and a different flavor. Not bad by any means but not really my thing. I'll stick to raising them for eggs and only eating old ones or bitchy roos.
I move romeo and his girl to the outside pen now that cujos not there being homicidal. Everyone seems to be getting along. Although cujo girls were definitely looking for him. They sound like oversized crickets. Hopefully it goes as well when I introduce the five new beepers in a week or two.
