First rooster and hen

Hello to all. I have been reading posts on the board for the last 6 months. Just joined this great site today. I also just got my first rooster and hen. I am now wanting to add more to my collection. Everyone said this was addicting and now I see what they mean. My question is, Can I add more hens without problems? They will generally be the same size. My pen is 10x10x6 if this helps or matters. Thanks in advance. Can anyone tell me what he might be?

Congratulations. Yeah I've got a few chicks too.

You are going to want to stick to getting hens from now on - as one rooster to about five hens is an okay ratio - best ratio (as I have heard) is one rooster to fifteen hens.

I am going to go out on a limb here (since I am a NEWBIE) and say it has the colouring os a Welsummer (spelling?).

But they are both beautiful birds! Enjoy.
